How to do it:

  • Right-click an empty space on the desktop.
  • Click "Properties".
  • Click the "Appearance" tab (on the top).
  • Click the "Effects" button.
  • Decide which effects you do not want to have anymore. Deselect an effect to disable it.
  • When you are finished, click OK.
  • Click OK.
