Enable the creation of a password for the guest account

Notes: A computer with more than one user may be vulnerable to unauthorized people using the guest account. This is a nice way to password protect it.

Warnings: This is dangerous if you do not know what you are doing. I do not take responsibility for anything that you do to your computer that harms it or any files on it in any way.

How to do it:

  • Make sure that you are logged on as an administrator.
  • Make sure that the guest account is enabled.
  • Navigate to Start > Run (Click on Run).
  • In the input field, type in "cmd" and press enter.
  • Now type in "Net user guest password" and press enter.
  • Close command prompt (Click the X in the top right).
  • Navigate to Start > Control Panel (Click on Control Panel).
  • Click on "User Accounts".
  • Create a password for the guest account.
  • Follow the rest of the instructions for the user account and then exit.
