Add "Recent Documents" to the Start Menu

Notes: This only works for the new start menu, not the classic.

How to do it:

  • Navigate to Start > Control Panel (Click on Control Panel).
  • Click "Appearance and Themes".
  • Click "Taskbar and Start Menu".
  • Click the "Start Menu" tab.
  • Making sure that Start Menu, not Classic Start Menu, is selected, click "Customize".
  • Click the "Advanced" tab.
  • In the "Recent Documents" box, check the checkbox.
  • Click OK.
  • Click OK.
