Completely customize visual effects

Time Required: 1 Minute, 5 Minutes, 10 Minutes, 15 Minutes

Notes: This is the best way to take control most of the visual effects that Windows uses that generally slows down your system. (Does not apply to games)

How to do it:

• Navigate to Start > My Computer and right-click "My Computer".
• Click "Properties".
• Click the "Advanced" tab.
• In the "Performance" box, click "Settings".
• Select the radio button that says "Custom:".
• Uncheck everything that you don't want to have. You'll find that the more you uncheck, the better your computer will perform.
• Click OK.
• Click OK.
